POWERHOUSE PRO: Aerial Intensive with Highly Sprung x Off The Wall

Thu 1 Oct 2026 10:00 AM - Fri 2 Oct 2026 5:00 PM Imagineer Productions, The Daimler Powerhouse, CV1 4DQ

Join us for a special two-day Powerhouse Pro intensive, delivered in collaboration with Highly Sprung Performance and Off The Wall Aerial Dance.

Designed for professional aerialists, dancers and physical performers, this collaborative intensive offers the opportunity to deepen your practice, expand your creative range and learn alongside two companies working at the forefront of contemporary aerial performance.

Bringing together the distinctive approaches of Highly Sprung and Off The Wall Aerial Dance, the intensive blends technical training, creative exploration and performance-making. Across two dynamic days, you'll develop skills in aerial dance harness and vertical dance, building confidence, movement vocabulary and new ways of working in the air.

Designed to support both technical development and creative exploration, this intensive is ideal for professional performers and performance makers looking to challenge their practice and discover new creative approaches.

What you'll explore

Low-Level Harness & Physical Theatre

Working with Highly Sprung Performance, you'll develop technique in front, side and back harness pick-ups whilst exploring how aerial movement can support storytelling, character and physical performance. Through practical exercises and creative tasks you'll build movement vocabulary and investigate how aerial work can become an expressive performance tool.

Vertical Dance & Choreography

Led by Off The Wall Aerial Dance, you'll work on the vertical dance wall, developing confidence, control and dynamic movement vocabulary. Sessions explore contemporary dance techniques in harness alongside choreographic approaches, partner work and creative exploration of gravity, space and connection.

Who is it for?

This intensive is aimed at professional artists and experienced performers working in aerial, dance, circus or physical theatre.

Previous experience using aerial harness is essential.

Meet the Artists

Highly Sprung Performance

Highly Sprung Performance is an award-winning physical theatre organisation creating bold, visually striking performances that engage audiences of all ages. Renowned for combining dynamic movement, immersive storytelling, and spectacular aerial work, the company transforms spaces into unforgettable theatrical experiences. With years of experience producing large-scale outdoor spectacles and innovative theatre, they have developed a distinctive approach to aerial performance that combines technical excellence with creative storytelling. From large-scale outdoor productions to immersive performances, Highly Sprung Performance pushes the boundaries of physical theatre, using aerial arts to inspire, connect, and captivate audiences.

Off The Wall Aerial Dance

Founded in 2019 by Charlotte, Grace and Rebecca, Off The Wall is a women-led aerial company specialising in vertical dance and harness practices. At the heart of everything the company does is a simple mission: to strive to create exciting, welcoming and safe spaces to experience Vertical Dance. All three directors bring backgrounds in contemporary dance training and performance, channelling this into powerful, dynamic performances designed to leave audiences feeling excited, empowered and entertained.

Alongside touring nationally, the company runs workshops that blend their dance backgrounds with their passion for vertical dance. These workshops focus on promoting connection, partner/group work, building trust and feeling empowered, confidence, skill-sets and creativity.

Most recently, Off The Wall opened Glastonbury 2025 with a striking performance suspended from a crane 40 metres above the Pyramid Stage and are touring our Cscape Dance collaboration show Wipeout! (Originally commissioned by Maritime Museum Cornwall).
